Hello My Lovelies!
I actually used to never like banana bread BUT then I made a loaf a couple years ago and added in lots of chocolate chips and Voila! Now, I am definitely a fan!
Lately, I have been trying gluten free, due to my doctor's recommendation. So, here is a recipe I made up for gluten free banana chocolate chip loaves. I made a couple loaves at once. Oh My! They are absolutely delicious!
Some great things about this recipe are if you have ripe bananas laying around and you pretty much always have the rest of the ingredients on hand.
---------------------------------------------------------
Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 cup gluten free flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Optional: nuts, berries, etc...
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F. Grease loaf pans.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas with melted butter, then add eggs, sugar, vanilla and milk. Mix well.
- Mix in baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in flour and chocolate chips. Mix in any other optional add-ins.
- Pour the batter in the loaf pans.
- Bake for 50-60 min, until you insert a toothpick into the center of the loaf and it comes out clean.
- Serve!
I hope you guys enjoy this recipe as much as we did!
